• To contribute to the international effort aimed at the protection and promotion of children's rights, particularly with regard to combating the risk of exploitation, violence and trafficking of girls, boys, children and young people;

• Support for integration in the world of employment through microcredit;

• Training of public and private operators in reception centres for unaccompanied minors;

• Direct support to reception centres;

• Census of the facilities and the children in care.

 

PCN is operating through a support programme to improve the living conditions of children staying in temporary homes in Aceh and to improve the capacity to respond to youth problems in North Aceh and the island of Nias, by increasing the professional skills of young people with a view towards skilled employment in construction works.

 

The specific objective is to make a significant improvement to the living conditions of the children staying in temporary homes in Aceh, to their future prospects and to protecting them from the risk of future exploitation and trafficking, by improving the capacity to respond to youth problems in North Aceh and the island of Nias by increasing the professional skills of the young people and encouraging their organisation in collective enterprises, with a view towards skilled employment in construction works.
